UPSC CDS Examination Notification
Union Public Service Commission conducts recruitment process for Central Government jobs on behalf of Indian Government.As per their UPSC 2014 program,UPSC has issued notification for undertaking of Combined Defence Service Examination(CDS) for recruitment to the Indian Army, Naval, Air Force and Officers Training Academy.Along with CDS,UPSC has also issued notification for conducting of SSC (Non-Technical) course for Women.

1.Indian Military Academy, Dehradun – 250 posts
2.Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala – 40 posts
3.Indian Air Force Academy, Hyderabad – 32 posts
4.Officers Training Academy, Chennai (SSC course for men) – 175 posts
5.Officers Training Academy, Chennai (SSC course for women) – 12 posts
Reserved Seats
- For IMA 32 seats are reserved for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders (Army Wing)
- For INA 06 seats are reserved for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders (Naval Wing)
Eligibility Criteria
1.Indian Military Academy
Applicant should be Indian National.Applicant should be Male and Single.He should have born after 2 Jan 1990 and before 1 Jan 1995.
2.Indian Naval Academy
Applicant should be Indian National.Applicant should be Male and Single.He should have born after 2 Jan 1991 and before 1 Jan 1996.
3.Indian Air force Academy
Applicant should be Indian National.Applicant should be Male and Single.He should have born after 2 Jan 1992 and before 1 Jan 1996.
4.Officer Training Academy (Men)
Applicant should be Indian National.Applicant should be Male and can be Married or Single.He should have born after 2 Jan 1990 and before 1 Jan 1996.
5.Officer Training Academy (Women)
Applicant should be Indian National.Applicant should be Female and Single.Divorcees and Windows who have not remarried can also apply.She should have born after 2 Jan 1990 and before 1 Jan 1996.

Education Details
IMA and OTA
Applicant must have completed Graduation with first class from a recognized university.
INA
Applicant must have completed graduation (Degree) in Engineering with first class from a recognized university.
IFA
Applicant must have completed Graduation with 12th in Science stream or Engineering with first class from a recognized university.
Note : Graduates need to submit their provisional Degree during interview.Final year students can also apply.

Fees Detail
Candidates belonging to general category and OBC have to pay fees of 200 Rs/-.SC,ST and Female candidates are exempted from fees.Payment of fee can be done through Challan by depositing money in any SBI branch.For online payment Visa,Credit Card or Debit Card can be used.
Physical Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should satisfy the physical standards laid down by CDS.Download the PDF given at the bottom to know about physical criteria mentioned in Appendix – 4.
Selection Procedure
Candidates passing the written test will be called for interview along with verification of documents.
