Indian Navy SSC Recruitment Notification
Indian Navy has issued notification for invitation of application from Unmarried men/women to the various executive and technical branches.Recruitment will be done to the posts of Short Service Commission in Executive Branch (General Services/Hydro Cadre/IT/Naval Architecture) and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy for July 2014 course conducted at Indian Naval Academy (INA),Ezhimala,Kerala.

What is SSC?
SSC stands for Short Service Commission.Candidates appointed through SSC are granted service tenure of 10 years which is extended to 14 years depending on performance and candidate’s willingness.After completion of the tenure Officers are entitled for gratuity.

Age Details
For the post of Executive (GS)/Hydro Cadre/SSC X (IT)/Technical (General Services)/Submarine Specialization applicant should be born anywhere between 02 July to 01 Jan 1995.
Education Criteria
- Executive (GS/Hydro Cadre) – B.E/B.Tech in any discipline (only men)
- SSC (IT) - BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Computer/IT),B.Sc (IT) and M.Tech (Computer Science),M.Sc (Computer),BCA/MCA (only men)
- Naval Architecture – B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical,Civil,Aeronautical/Aerospace Metallurgy,Naval Architecture (men and women)
- Engineering Branch - Mechanical,Marine,Automotive,Mechtronics,Industrial and Production,Metallurgy,Aeronautical/Aerospace,BS Marine Engg.Only male candidates can apply.
- Electrical Branch - Electrical,Electronics and Instrumentation (only men)
- Engineering Branch – Mechanical,Marine,Automotive,Mechtronics,Industrial & Production, Metallurgy,Aeronautical/Aerospace,BS Marine Engg,Automation,Industrial,Production (only men)

Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Sub Lieutenant.They will be promoted on experience basic to higher posts.

Physical Standards
Candidates should satisfy the following Physical Standards set by Indian Navy.
Height and Weight – for male candidate minimum acceptable height is 157 cms and for female candidates minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.Candidate weight should be correlated with his height.
Eye Sight – Candidate should not be Color/Night Blind.

Candidates will be short listed for interview on the basis of their percentage in degree course.Yes!There’s no written test.SSB interviews for selected candidates will be conducted at Bangalore,Bhopal,Coimbatore during Jan 14 to May 14.
Interview will be conducted in two stages.
Stage 1 - Intelligence test,Picture Perception and Discussion test
Stage 2 – Psychological Test,Group Test and Interview

Note : candidates qualifying first stage will be eligible for Stage 2.
Training of selected candidates will start from July 2014.They will be admitted for Naval Orientation Course and will undergo training for 22 to 44 weeks.
