Skkim Public Service Commission want to fill the 15 posts of Sub-Inspector on the temporary regular basis.

• Eligibility Criteria

Educational: Any Graduation from recognized university
Age Limit: From 18 years to 25 years

Upper age limit for:
S.T.=30 years
S.C.=30 years
B.L.=30 years
MBC=29 years
OBC=28 years
Unreserved= 28 years
Home Guards= addition of 2 years advantage

Minimum Physical Criteria:

For Men
 1. Height= 5'3''
 2. Chest = 32" with minimum expansion of 2''
 3. Weight= 50Kgs

For Women
 1. Height= 5''
2. Chest = NA
3. Weight = 45 Kgs
all the physical standard are minimum.

• Selection Procedure and Examination Pattern

•  Preliminary Examination as a Screening Test

Candidates should qualify this Preliminary examination to admit the Main examination. Preliminary exam has two papers each of the 200 Marks and 2 hours.
Paper-I includes Current affairs in Sate, National  and International Level, History of India, Economic and Panchayati Raj and so on.

Paper-II includes General Science, Mathematics, English of the Class X level.

The question paper will be multiple choice and objective types.

•  Main Examination

Candidate should appear this main examination after the qualifying the Preliminary examination
Examination pattern: 

1. General English - 100 Marks
2. General Knowledge - 100 Marks
3. General Papers (Two optional subjects) - 500 Marks (250 Marks each)
